Rise of the Footsoldier follows the inexorable rise of Carlton Leach from one of the most feared generals of the football terraces to becoming a member of a notorious gang of criminals who rampaged their way through London and Essex in the late eighties and early nineties. It is three decades of his life following him from football hooliganism, through to his burgeoning career as a bouncer, his involvement in the criminal aspects of the early ‘rave’ scene and subsequently to his rise to power as one of the most feared and respected criminals in the country. The story concludes with three members of his firm being brutally murdered in the infamous shot-gun slaying at Rettenden.

When John Hume’s (Bacon) son is killed by a group of gang-bangers his life is torn apart. His one salve is that the killer was caught at the crime scene, but when the justice department offers up 6 months in prison as retribution, he knows there must be something better, something that will allow his family to move on. Surprising himself, he retracts his testimony as the lone witness, essentially killing the case, and begins to look for another means for justice. Thirty-five years later, Caine is starring as Wyke in an updated version of SLEUTH, completely rewritten by Nobel Prizewinner Harold Pinter and directed by multiple Oscar nominee Kenneth Branagh. Jude Law, who played the Michael Caine role in the 2004 remake of ALFIE, now takes over as Tindle, a hairdresser-actor who has shown up at Wyke’s estate to demand that Wyke divorce his wife so Tindle can marry her. But the extremely successful and wealthy Wyke is not about to give up his wife without a very determined and well-calculated battle of wits.

When all the guys got together to make jackass number two, they filmed more than a movie-they filmed a movie and a half. Maybe even two. The problem was only 90 minutes of the resulting mess could be used in the feature, leaving almost an hour of movie-worthy s*** on the proverbial cutting room floor.
Not knowing what to do with all this material, Jeff Tremaine and Johnny Knoxville decidedly set it aside for some undecided future use.For the better part of the year following the release of jackass number two, this cache of unseen footage remained in limbo until someone came up with the idea to film all new interviews with the cast, talking about this excess of never-before-seen pranks, stunts, and random acts of behind-the-scenes mischief and stupidity, and package it into a documentary-like feature called jackass 2.5.Although this isn’t necessarily the “new” jackass movie, it’s still every bit as unbelievable, dirty, and downright sexy as its predecessors-maybe even more so at points.

Of course, Buck and his son have completely different child-rearing styles, leading to some tension as the elder Hinton tries to whip Driftwood’s motley campers into shape for the annual Olympiad with Camp Canola.
